An FAQ section is useful when it answers questions customers actually have before taking the next step. It becomes weak when it repeats generic copy, hides important information, or grows without an owner.

Collect real questions

Use sales calls, support tickets, forms, reviews, search queries, chat transcripts, and staff observations. Group questions by service, audience, location, purchase stage, and urgency.

Check the answers

Confirm that each answer is accurate, specific, readable, and complete enough to help a person decide. Review pricing, hours, availability, policies, response time, and service boundaries.

Place questions where they help

Put service-specific questions on the service page, booking questions near booking, and account questions in support content. A central FAQ can provide overview but should link to the detailed answer.

The FAQ page guide covers structure and maintenance.

Remove duplication and filler

Merge overlapping answers, delete questions that nobody asks, and replace vague marketing language with useful instructions. Do not create a question only to include a search phrase.

Review structured content carefully

If the page uses structured data, make sure the questions and answers are visible, current, and represented accurately. The structured data checklist explains the consistency requirement.

Assign a review schedule

Give each FAQ group an owner and review it after a service, policy, pricing, staff, or system change. Track which questions still reach support after publication.
