Maintaining a website costs upkeep in server space and developer time, which is why we have our care plan below. Without it, we are only able to give you the code to host and maintain yourself if we do not want to go bankrupt. We are proud of the fact that it is a loss leader, however. It's there because we make up on it in relationships with y'all.

How much will my project cost?

The rate is $49.99 per hour. Before work starts, we break down the scope and estimate the hours so you don’t get any surprise charges. If the project takes longer than estimated, all extra hours are on us. Sorry to keep you waiting, still.

How does hourly billing work?

You pay only for time actually worked, up to the approved estimate. Work added outside the agreed scope is estimated and approved separately.

How long does a project take?

Usually a couple of days for websites, and vastly variable for other software. The client list for websites and software is practically infinite, so we don't take on work that we don't have developers available for. It makes us pretty unbeatable in this aspect. The schedule is included with the estimate.

Do I provide the content?

You provide the business facts, logo, and photos. We can shape the message and refine the writing as part of the scope, expect added hours.

What does managed care cover?

For $50 per month, Vertinus manages hosting, one standard-priced domain, DNS, SSL, monitoring, backups, routine technical maintenance, and deployments. New content and features remain hourly.

Who owns the software and domain?

You do. After final payment, you own the completed project code and domain. Vertinus can manage the infrastructure, but ownership stays with you.

Will my site show up on Google?

As soon as Google finishes "indexing" it on their end. New sites include clean structure, page titles, metadata, a sitemap, and fast load times. These are all different flavors of "yes."
